Study in Germany?

Why study in Germany?

Germany offers compelling reasons to choose it as a study destination:

Cost of studying in Germany

The cost of studying in Germany for overseas students varies depending on the type of university and the chosen course. Public universities offer free education, but there are enrollment, administration, and confirmation charges per semester that need to be paid. It’s important to note that fluency in the German language is usually required for admission to public universities.

On the other hand, private universities in Germany charge tuition fees, which can vary based on the specific course. However, compared to other countries like Canada, the United States, or Australia, the tuition fees in German universities are generally more affordable and tend to be on the lower end of the spectrum.

Permit Resident Visa for Students upon Graduation

Upon completion of their studies, students in Germany can apply for a Permanent Residence Permit, also known as the Settlement Permit or Niederlassungserlaubnis, if they wish to stay in the country.

The Permanent Residence Permit allows students to work in Germany and provides the flexibility to travel in and out of the country. However, obtaining this permit requires meeting certain eligibility criteria, including:

  • Working in Germany for at least 5 years.
  • Having a job that is approved by the Federal Employment Agency.
  • Fulfilling tax and other financial obligations to the German government.

Additionally, a higher level of German language proficiency is typically required for the Permanent Residence Permit compared to the student visa.
