Denmark Tourist Visa

The Denmark tourist visa, also known as the Denmark Schengen visa, grants you the opportunity to visit Denmark for tourism purposes. Additionally, with a single Denmark Schengen visa, you can also explore 25 other Schengen countries in Europe.

To be eligible for the Denmark Schengen visa, the following conditions must be met:

  • You plan to spend the majority of your time in Denmark.
  • You are willing to allocate an equal number of days for your stay in Denmark compared to other Schengen states, but Denmark must be your first point of entry.

How to Apply for a Denmark Schengen Visa

  • Complete the Application Form: Ensure all details provided are accurate and truthful.
  • Pay the Tourist Visa Fee: Make the necessary payment and retain a copy of the transaction.
  • Submit Application, Documents, and Biometrics: Personally deliver your application along with the required documents to the relevant Danish embassy, consulate, or visa center.
  • Participate in the Visa Interview: Expect a personal interview where you’ll answer questions pertaining to both your personal information and travel plans.
  • Await Application Status Notification: The embassy or consulate will communicate the outcome of your visa application via email.

Documents Required

The following documents are typically required for a Denmark tourist visa application:

You must have a passport that is valid for at least three months beyond your intended stay in Denmark.

You will need to provide one or two recent passport-sized photographs according to the specifications set by the Danish embassy or consulate.

This includes a confirmed round-trip or onward air ticket to Denmark. It is recommended to make these travel arrangements after your visa application has been approved.

You must provide proof of travel medical insurance that covers the entire duration of your stay in Denmark. The insurance should have a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros and include repatriation and medical emergency expenses.

A letter that includes your personal information, travel schedule, details of trip expenses, and a declaration stating that you will return to your home country after your visit to Denmark.

You need to submit bank statements or other financial documents to demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to cover your expenses during your stay in Denmark.

A detailed plan of your trip, including accommodation details, transportation arrangements, and a proposed daily schedule.

A confirmed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Denmark, providing details of your accommodation arrangements.

Providing your income tax returns for the past year can help establish your financial stability and ties to your home country.
